Re: miserable wet thursday

Hi Pamela - sorry you are having a wet journey to work. Hope you are in the dry now .... it's very overcast here atm but not raining yet. OH is out with Monty for his walk so I hope they make it home before it starts raining.

Not much to report here either. Just labelling the Pink Lady bottles! Having a bit of a problem with the design, doesn't look quite right yet. Have done the Raspberry Vodka bottles - wish I could manage to get the labels straight, although after the contents has been drunk, I don't suppose anyone would notice!!! (hic!)

Have a good day peeps.

Re: miserable wet thursday

afternoon all.
Pamela sorry you are having a wet miserable day. It's realy nice here, cold but sunny. Been to work this morning and was asked to take the children out to play which was very nice. Tomorrow everyone has been asked to go in something spotty, we will also be asked to buy cakes that the children have made and decorated for children in need.

Re: miserable wet thursday

Hi everyone.
Been doing a bit of sewing today, I was intending to do some gardening, but I took one look outside this morning and chickened out! Cold, grey and damp, yuk.

Shelly, did the soup taste as nice as it sounded?

Angie, it's no wonder the lables aren't straight if you keep pouring it into a glass instead of into the bottle!

Re: miserable wet thursday

Now there's a coincidence .... OH has made a vegetable soup, mainly mushroom, for tonight's supper. And a loaf of bread to go with it!!!!

My mouth is already watering, the smell is quite lovely!

Re: miserable wet thursday

TM yes thanks the soup was lovely,i've froze 3 portions of it. What have you been sewing ?
Angie, homemade bread would have gone so nicely with the soup, alas we had to make do with Tescos tiger buns.
Karen , hope work goes well.
Just been to macdonalds for tea, my son's friend was coming to our house so Chris treated us tonight.
Feel a bad doggy mum as i slapped Kwames bottom today, it was in frustration and served no purpose except to make me feel better for 10 seconds

Re: miserable wet thursday

Don't feel too bad Shelly, I know I've done similar things myself. I have also had the same done to me when I was a child, and it hasn't done me any long term damage!

I have been sewing a pill pouch. My boyfriend takes painkillers for his bad back and I always keep some in my handbag for him, but they get lost amongst all the junk in there, so I made a little folding pouch to store them in! It's been a while since I've used the machine so it was a bit wonky!

I'm afraid i can't sew except to put buttons on things, needlework was a nightmare at school
