Re: thursday

Afternoon Pamela - hope you had an enjoyable Christmas Day, even if you had to work on Boxing Day ...... but you celebrate New Year more in Scotland, don't you????

Dora is such a lovely girl, once we have the house-training cracked (and it is getting better); she is settling better in her crate at night - we are seriously considering keeping her, for her gentle nature alone - and she is such a warm cuddlebug. I can see now though why folks go for pedigree dogs where at least there is a good chance that adult size is predictable! We have no idea how big she'll grow and honestly that's my only worry. But a huge hound with a lovely nature .... I keep wondering if I am being sizeist! She and Monty are getting on so well, they play together, roughhouse but no aggression. Monty has told her off several times by growling and she submits immediately and then goes back for more. I think Monty would miss her if she went elsewhere. She seems fine with Pip and Pip is getting used to her and has come to touch noses when she's asleep! Kizzy has hissed at her and she just backed off and does not worry Kizzy. She will take training as she is a bright girl and seems eager to please. We already have her sitting but "wait" is a step too far yet!

We will make up our minds very soon I think.

Hope everyone has a good day, whether you are back at work or not.

Re: thursday

Angie sounds like you are besotted......maybe you are looking for "your dog" as Monty is hubby's.

Either way sounds like she is doing well and so is the household.

Pamela I agree working Christmas is "slow" but the alternative of being able to spend rather than earn - does not appeal.
