mmmm Friday, I think?

Hi everyone - I don't know what day of the week it is but suspect Friday???

I am so appreciating my lovely cats just now, Kizzy is here with me, looking beautiful and soooooooo calm. Pip has been in and miaowed his greeting. How much easier the darlings are, calming and serene. Can you guess? Dora has not been a good girl this morning, I am forever cleaning up little accidents, even though she's been outside and performed there too. (expletives deleted!)

OH's mum has been returned to the care home and is now in a very nice room on their high dependency floor - she is receiving end of life care now. OH and his brother are satisfied that is the best thing for her, just to make her as comfortable as possible for whatever time she has left.

We have a vet visit and check for Dora this afternoon and some friends are coming to tea ..... for puppy play I suspect!

Hope you all have a good day folks

Re: mmmm Friday, I think?

Morning Angie or Good afternoon now.

Sorry to hear about your MIL but pleased she is somewhere more than acceptable to her children.

Regarding Dora I wonder if her accidents are anything to do with a change of food; puppy tummies are notoriously delicate things. Sure things will ease everything is so exciting and new to her - she sounds like a clever pup she will get it.

Cats are from saturn and dogs from pluto.

My news not a lot really other than I appear to have a poorly left knee.
I have not fallen twisted it strained it nothing just a pain that has built up it is now constant on around the left knee more inside the knee but all around the kneecap under the knee cap its a constant ache/pain around that area.
More so when I do some things trying to narrow it down what but I think it is more the position of my knee than what I am doing but now it seems constant it can be very painful to touch in certain place so much so - I jump and thats touching it myself just on the inside top.

My knee is not hot, brusied, swollen but a constant deep ache/pain.
Have tried a heat pad, and muscle rub stuff no difference may have to buy a support bandage but not sure thats going to help so may have to go to the Doctors.

Its is becoming troublesome now and when I sit and try to stand knee feels like it is not going to hold and has given way a couple of times, it also locks and is agony to unlock irritating walking annoys it sitting aggrivates it and tyring to move my leg to ease it causes cramp......

I thought it was worse when I first woke but now seems annoyed throughout.

So sorry to hear about your poorly knee Kazz - have you tried the good old fashioned remedy frozen peas??? Short periods of time, no more than 10 minutes to start and no direct contact of frozen bag with skin - wrap in a tea towel first.

Dora has only had pee accidents today, but rather a lot of them!

Well, she's been to the vet today who estimates her as being between 12-14 weeks (I'd thought she was a bit older). She has been kept outdoors at the rescue centre in Ireland.

Sorry Dora isn't going according to plan Angie, you're very brave taking her on, I'm sure you'll do what you can to help socialise her and train her to be a wonderful domestic pet. It is early days yet.

Karen, hope your knee starts to improve, I had similar problem with my foot - could hardly walk for a few weeks, but now all seems to be ok - touch wood.

Today has included vacuuming the internals of the piano with my NEW Dyson (old 12 yr old one just gave up the ghost), steam cleaning the kitchen and sinking half a bottle of wine Just about to do the other half now with dinner.

Tomorrow we are talking the boys to see The Nutcracker at the Colliseum and then onto Winter Wonderland at Hyde Park, which they love.

Hi, hope your MIL is comfortable Angie. Sounds like Dora is testing you a little.
Kazz, your knee sounds sore. Angie is right, ice often works. Hope is heals soon.
Enjoy the Nutcracker and Hyde Park Yola.
We've been to Leicester today to see my parents. Mum is improving after her slight stroke earlier in the year but still has problems with arthritis. dad is still pretty much having to do everything for her but they seem to be rubbing along OK.
