Monday Monday

Morning people.

Here it looks like there is a frost and a flutering of snow that has stuck as opposed to snow really, but there have I think been more flutterings in the night overall I think it is too wet to stick.

Elaine I hope you enjoyed your pork and got somewhere with your meeting?

Angie you could be a almost dog person in the end, Monty will know shes a pup and play nicely most dogs do. Is the plan to let Dora have ago with agility?

Pamela a lap round the loch I sit here in awe. For a moment I thought you wrote "met him en-croute"

Shelley what the toy? and glad you managed to get somewhere with the phone and I second the question are we quizzing?

Pauline that sounds an ideal way to spend Sunday takeaway here tonight fish and chips should of been Friday but hey plans are made for breaking

C.S. How far is an average run?

Yola Hope you had a nice weekend with the boys and everyone is feeling a little better.

And has anyone seen MrsH lately?

So plan for today first day of the weeks holiday, papers find my walking boots out for the non slip effect (hopefuly) take the dog out back home and then going to try a Tai Chi Class at a local church hall. Make a hairdressers appointment. And then hopefuly get into the loft for the sort out and put Xmas stuff back in and free the little bedroom.
See you all later. Have a good day and try to stay upright, and warm.

Are we quizing tonight?

Re: Monday Monday

Morning Kazz and all to follow.
Trying to muster up some energy to get the day started. Not too busy as I have 2 dogs off sick just now. One cut its pad open on glass and the other ran into a breaker at the beach and hurt her shoulder. Neither of these things happened when they were out with me I hasten to add.
Need to contact HRMC as my tax bill hasnt arrived yet, I know that sounds crazy for me to be chasing them but I dont want a fine either.
Agility training tonight so no quiz for me sadly.
Have a good day and stay warm people. xxx

Re: Monday Monday

morning everyone
Karen the toy i found is a little knitted Eskimo or to be pc and Inuit but it somehow doesn't sound the same. I think it was made by my aunty and i'm sure i can remember getting it on my 5th birthday, i'd just started school. It was grubby and damp and lost the swansdown around the hood. Will maybe put a pic on later.
Elaine hope the agility goes well.
Pamela see you hopefu;y at the quiz
Wet grey day here, have some paperwork to sort then off to do a food shop.

Re: Monday Monday

Good morning! We had quite some snow for a town centre; about 1 inch, but thankfully it hadn't stuck on the roads and paths as the council had been diligent in their gritting. Driving out into the countryside for the school run was beautiful but snow was falling quite heavily up on the edge of the Berkshire Downs, still not slippy though which was good news.

Well, yesterday was fun . . . 15 minutes of removing the piece of wall which blocked in the old fireplace in the kitchen (we will be placing the cooker in the alcove and venting the extractor up the chimney); resulted in a further 3 hours of cleaning soot from the entire basement area and the removal of lots of little bird bones from where they'd obviously fallen down the chimney over the years

Re: Monday Monday

Morning all. It's snowy here in the East, madam (aka Smudge) is most displeased! I'm sat on a train wondering how bad travel will be today- we are late before starting!
Kazz, my short runs (I do two in a week) are 4 miles and my long run (tends to be on a Sunday) was 10 miles but I'm gradually extending that so yesterday was 11.
We can get Tolly chasing snowballs and he gets quite excited doing that 'spronking' (I think thats what it's called) until his paws get too cold.
Hello to everyone else here - not being rude but I'm on my phone and it's hard to check who said what.....!

Re: Monday Monday

Afternoon all. We've had a covering of snow this morning, but it's mostly gone now. OH took the dogs out and they had great fun, Monty had snow sticking to bits of him!

OH has been sorting things out to do with his mum this morning and we've decided where to go after the funeral next week. Not that many folk will be coming, around a dozen.

I do have Qs ready for the quiz this evening - around 8.30 OK for everyone???

Keep warm and safe peeps.

Re: Monday Monday

Well when I left here this morning there was no snow, but 5 minutes up the road and it was white and blizzarding. Got to the first dog and gave her a walk around her home area. It then too me 2 hours to get across town and pick up dogs from 2 houses, traffic was at a standstill all over town. Anay way managed to get all my dogs walked eventually. Built a snowman on the field and threw snowballs for the dogs, Rayne loves that game too Kazz.
I was hoping agility training was cancelled but my trainer said that as long as the roads are open then its on
She also told me that the judge at the show told her that she was giving me and Rayne the judges special because she could see how much work I have to put in to keep Rayne focused on me and not the horse poop, she said its not an easy job with a terrier but she thought I was doing well and improving all the time. I am chuffed with that.
