Monday, is it Monday???

Yes, I think it is ............... started off really lovely but there was the tell-tale pearly tinge to the sky and now the wind has got up and it's beginning to rain. Poor OH, he has to go into Chichester for a couple of appointments. The dogs and I are left to curl up in the warm.

Hope all Catsey cats are cool today?

I've been trawling the web, as I am prone to do, looking for words from earlier times, Beatniks, Mods and Rockers etc. Shall I start a new thread ............... will anyone be interested???

Re: Monday, is it Monday???

afternoon Angie, yes go ahead and start a new thread, i will have a go.
I've been out all day today visiting an old friend She wasn't very well, well in fact she never is realy but today she was worse.
She suffers from CPD, has got a pacemaker and lots of other things wrong. Last night she said she couldn't breath and thought she was going to breath her last, it's very hard to listen to her and watch her light up a cigerette.
We got to discussing what would happen to her cats, bit depressing.
Are we quizzing tonight ?

It's wet and grey here. I've had my nose in the PC all day and have been busy with our new telesales girl who is shaping up really well; bearing in mind she's a university student and English is not her 1st language! It's quite uncanny because she's the spit of Sebi's au pair when he was a baby and once or twice I've already called her Luise by mistake!

OH installed a new door . . . it took him all weekend See what I mean when I say the kitchen won't be ready in time for next Christmas even? Talk about a perfectionist!

Shelley - sorry the visit with your friend was such a downer. Sadly there are people who for whatever reason can't help themselves - even when they know what they do is damaging them beyond repair

Angie - shove over on that sofa. The cats need some space What do you plan to do with your 'old' words? Just list them to turn them into some kind of game?

Yes, I was wondering about the quiz too ......... Pamela won last week, not sure if she's working late or not tonight. Pamela???

I will think about the word trends ...... not sure the words are difficult enough for a game, but may be ...... *puts thinking cap on*

Great Pamela, looking foward to the quiz
Yola i know what you mean about calling someone by the wrong name if they remind you of someone
Yes Karen, i guess Viv is a bit like Eileen was. She had to stop smoking before her heart op several years ago and nearly died several times before and after. Unfortunately after the op she started again, it's heartbreaking but i guess it's life choices.
Got caught in a terrific downpour of first rain then hailstones, Malaika was crying all the way home.
