Saturday - Groundhog Day!

Morning all - lovely sunny day here but I bet Punxsutawney Phil will see his shadow - any takers?

Miss our dear Eileen especially today - for her sake I hope Phil sees no shadows and we have an early Spring.

Have a good day folks.

Well - good thing Phil is predicting the weather this year rather than me! He saw NO SHADOW so there will be an early Spring. Mind you that is in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania USA - don't think he claims a wider forecast Eileen would be delighted!

Re: Saturday - Groundhog Day!

afternoon angie, never heard of Phil ? but i'm glad we will have an early spring, seen some snowdrops today.
Two nice dog walks this morning and then we went food shopping for the buffet tomorrow.
Howard is painting the hallway at the moment, it's looking nice.
Fleetwood mac tribute tickets are sold on ebay, there are four days left to run but at least i have my money back.
Could do with some thoughts on Tuppence, will start a thread.

Shelley, look out for the film 'Groundhog Day' . . . Excellent film and explains the P Phil legend

OH spend a futile few hours trying to fit a cat flap, first it was the doors fault, the flaps fault and finally (of course) my fault He's now sulking upstairs and I'm watching the dreadful Toy Story with the boys. Off up the road to get a bottle of wine shortly

Well there you are Saturday night....and here I am a chocolate chip brioche roll and a glass of cherry brandy liqueur...and very nice too had it given to me for Christmas. Watching a sky+' "call the midwife"

Hope everyone has had a good day I got the bike up and running again so off I go I would like to do a bike ride tour on the cruise they do those brilliant idea. Bikes on the ship and away you go, hence I am going to try to get bike fit.

Angie I think there will be a nice Spring I have a snowdrop in the front garden.
Shelley have I missed something why did you sell your fleetwood mac tickets......what colour are you painting the hall?

Yola at least its not the cats fault. What sort of wine are you going to get?

Re: Saturday - Groundhog Day!

Karen, bikes on a ship, sounds like a good idea.
The fleetwood mac tickets were for a tribute band not the real band. The advert on ticketmaster wasn't clear and in my excited state i made a mistake. It was only when i heard on the radio that FM haven't finalised tour dates that i realised. I was gutted, if i'd bought the tickets knowing it was a tribute i would have been ok. I will put the money towards new tickets when they are available.
The hall way is a sort of clover colour, Howard bought it thinking it was pink, i then thought it was mushroom but it turns out to be cloverish, lol.
