DIY Sunday

Morning all.

I am awake and just getting ready to take Sal out - she is good no more bleeds or anything and enjoying life. Then my plan is to get the papers, couple of crumpets with marmite, cup of coffee and then action.

My plans are - DIY - hence the title to build up a kitchen larder unit today so fingers crossed. Also to reposition a couple of wall units and remove one to another area and replace the other. Change a couple of the doors round - I will have to remove, cut down and then replace the worktop. Then fit new plinths and plinth seals and I am done.

So drills, jigsaws and tools will be used - I am becoming a dab hand and so much more rewarding than paying someone, I may take a little longer but I will do it. And safer than Dad doing it now. But he is a good mentor although we argue like crazy.......

So off I go..........have a great day all.

Re: DIY Sunday

Morning Kazz - sounds like you're going to have a busy day - I hope all goes well and to plan. You are much braver than I am. OH and I used to do DIY things and most turned out OK but I got thoroughly fed up with the swearing and cursing that went on. Nowadays I have found a good reliable chap who just gets on with things and no expletives!!!

It is a glorious day here - frosty, sunny and the air smells like new wine. I am home alone as OH has gone off on a golfy day. Well, not alone as I have two dogs and two cats for company. I've just ordered some aromatherapy stuff for me too.

Monty and Dora had an early walk over the fields but the door to the back garden is open and they are wandering in and out. Cats will probably saunter out towards the front garden where they can bask in peace.

Have a good day everyone.

morning Karen, Angie and all to follow.
sounds like a very busy day for you Karen, it's good that you have you're dad to mentor you.
Glad Sal is ok, think i must have missed something as i didn't realise she's had a bleed .
Angie, enjoy you're peaceful day.
Beautiful sunny weather today, even Tuppence has ventured out.
Going to an engagement party next door at lunch time, then i need to pack for the working holiday next week.

Re: DIY Sunday

Hi all, bit of a catch up day as yesterday was taken up with singing. The concert went well thanks Angie. It was VERY loud in places and I think the conductor did amazingly well as he had to coordinate a tape of African music, drummers, soloist, pianist, guitars and a choir!

Hope your tooth isn't too bad Elaine? Toothache is horrible! Did your DIY go well Kazz?

Sounds like lots of people enjoyed a bit us sun today!
