We took the dogs out first thing, well wrapped up in their fleeces, lol.
Finished repairing a neighbours doll and taken her back home now.
Tonight we are going to a neighbours for a meal so looking foward to that.
Take care everyone and keep warm if you can.

Re: Saturday

Afternoon all
To all with really bad weather I say stay warm and well especially you Velvet. Sounds bad. But I love your hibernating plan.

BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR is all I can say. Its been snowing here since yesterday and I am now saying Brrrrrrrr......alhough I have been lobbing snowballs at Sal while fetching the shopping in. So maybe its only cold when I "have" to go to work. Nt play with the dog.

My bed was delivered yesterday and I built it up matress etc put on and when I got in from work this morning 4am it was soooo comfortable.I may move into design mode this evening brought some new curtains too. Got to buy a door and fit it to the little bedroom all go here may try to finish decortaing the loo too. All go.

Angie pictures of Pip are always appreciated
would like to see the pup too. Shame about Charlie.....he is not black is he? seems black cats and dogs get overlooked the most. Angie I would not think any of would think joining any thread means favouritism we are so few we just need posters full stop.

Pamela I stand in awe of your commitment to the keep fit way of life. Hope you are warm and home by now.

Shelley no idea why my moms throat keeps narrowing we say Dad is stangling her in her sleep.......
Enjoy your meal at the neighbours......someone else cooking always makes it more enjoyable....

Elaine hope G is okay.

Anyhow off to have dinner now roast pork chops, mash, cauli cheese sauce, gravy, sprouts and carrots.

Have fun all, see you later.

Re: Saturday

Hi everyone - still having a really frustrating time with the computer, not able to get on when I want, just have to wait until the computer gives us an opportunity and then we dash on, put in grocery orders, order prescriptions etc. like maniacs. Getting a lot of reading done though and did more housework than usual last week. Left a fairly desperate message on my computer chap's answerphone today, think I was polite but firm and quite stressed!

Feel very lucky where we live, weather-wise. It's been grey, rainy and cold all day but no snow. OH says the roads are flooded in the village, he goes that way to take the dogs for their walk.

Feeling very disheartened by the cold wet climate - Monty Don was potting up seedlings in his greenhouse on GW last evening. I haven't planted any seeds at all yet - I don't have any heating in the greenhouse. Some strawberry plants came yesterday so I have just bunged them temporarily in a pot of moist compost in the g/house - no point planting them with the continual night frosts we seem to be having.

Stay safe and warm folks. I'm going to post a photo of Pip and Frodo for your enjoyment now!!!

Re: Saturday

Brrrr indeed. Went to an open day at an archaeological dig OH has been working on- he had to go to take photos. Couldn't see much because of the snow. Anyone who thinks archaeology is fun- there has been a team out on this dig for the last 5 months! I remember now why I changed career.
Fire lit, Thai noodle soup consumed, beer opened.

Re: Saturday

Evening again all.

Well starting to put my curtains up in the bedroom I got long ones this time 90" drop they are thermal lined and brought blackout linings for them too because its winter here but SUMMER is coming and light length increases and I sleep in the day.
May have to take them up slightly or rasie the rail....but saying that it also means putting another piece of wood up to fix it too so I will be taking them up.

I repeat SUMMER IS COMING.

Angie surprising how quickly we have become reliant on computers isn't it. Maybe the end of the World would be a "technical breakdown worldwide" Must admit I do not watch GW until I can go into the garden without a thermal hat on. Although my snowdrops/crocus etc are coming through nicely.
C.S I agree not for me but in the Summer I would form an orderly queue.
Sound ideal way to end a day...........
Right off to put the the other curtain up - move a bit of furniture.

I repeat SUMMER IS COMING.
