Hello PP! Nice of you to start the daily thread .... glad to hear your newbies are settling in. Grey and cold here .... you were luckier than us yesterday which started out nice and blue but soon clouded over and got cold again. We are still having night frosts and I am wondering if I will ever feel warmth again. I have bought my seeds and am just going to search online for a greenhouse heater .... the seeds will go in a propagator but I need a bit of warmth to get me going! We think Dora had tummy ache last night (PP - Dora is a lurcher x we adopted from rescue) OH had to get up to her 4 times! She had managed to leap over the baby gate yesterday afternoon and get to the cats' biscuits and so paid for it last night, sadly we did too. She managed the same thing this morning - not sure whether there were biscuits left, but she may suffer again - dogs don't learn do they? OH is out playing golf, his cold is getting better obviously although his mood could improve somewhat and hopefully will if he has a good round. Have a good day folks - keep warm! |

Good afternoon all Well its cold here but not snowing so its all good. Finishing touches to the spare spare bedroom and hey ho. PP glad the intro's are going well we learn a lot wih hindsight so good to put it into action. Angie you may be right but she could also possibly be closer than you think to coming into season - every bitch I have ever had has had a "increased toilet habit or and less of a chance of holding it in for No1's THEY NEED TO GO AND GO" when due in season just a heads up. See you all later catch whats going on when I get back, Karen |

Always a sign with any of my girls. Sal who is totaly utterly clean used to have the odd accidents and it upset her greatly (never fussed me/us) and only at night - so I was and am pleased we decided to have her spayed. That is just my take on it but of course I watch them like a hawk - maybe other people don't have that issue or not notice. But worth noting I think. |

Hi all, we are on leave this week. Mum and Dad came over on Tuesday and we went to London yesterday to see the Ice Age Art exhibition at the British Museum- it was amazing! Today has been going for a (muddy!) run, popping into town for a bit of a mooch and sorting out cupboards. It is still cold and we have had snow in the air today...... COME ON SPRING! |

Kazz - we are contracted to the rescue to have Dora spayed 3 months after her first season, so this will be done in due course. This recent episode has def been due to eating cat biscuits, there is rather a lot of evidence for that. We are mindful that it won't be long ......... lurcher folk say any time from 5 - 10 months. We've had odd snow today, a bit like grains of polystyrene - guess it has a special name but I don't know it. |

I think you are right Yola. Just had a look at images and there's a photo of a hand with the little grains on. Just seems an "ordinary" noun for something that doesn't happen very often here, although I think it's frozen rain that can cause the ice storms that can be so damaging but can also be the subject of some spectacular photos. |
