middle of the week wednesday

Morning everyone, its not a great day weather wise here. Grey and rainy at times. Enjoying my last day off before i go back to work tomorrow. Muscles are better but not 100% but not far off it thankfully!! Got to take our passports up to the travel agents so they can make a note of the numbers for our holiday and have a wee wander about the town centre as i haven't been up in a while. Also found out on Monday that i got the job i went for in work so i start my training on the 20th May so looking forward to that! Soo pleased i got it this time round.

When is the quiz starting back up after its break?

Hope evreryone has a great day and lots of hugs to catsey cats and all other pets

Well done Pamela! It's such an uplift when you are successful in getting a job.

Today it's bright and warm here with white cloud so not too bad at all. I'm back in the office and the boys are back at school so some kind of routine can now be re-established . . . for a month at least - til half term

We reached a milestone in the kitchen re-fit . . . the old sink was consigned to the tip last night. OH took it apart and the boys had a whale of a time taking hammers to it out in the drive

The top floor toilet disaster (started leaking dirty water into our bedroom below just before midnight on Monday night)was recitified by the revolting saniflo engineer who reappeared to make good his obviously shoddy repair from the previous week OH reckons no permanent damage providing everything dries out, which is good.

Enjoy Wednesday everyone!

Re: middle of the week wednesday

Many congratulations Pamela! Hope your holiday goes well too, are you starting before you go away or later?

Yola, I'm sure the kitchen will be fantastic when it's all done. Shame about the toilet though, my mum has a saniflo toilet upstairs and it's a godsend as her only bathroom is downstairs and night time visits were awfully cold and once woken up she couldn't go back.

Not much doing today, got cheaper car insurance online, almost £100, cheaper! so that was a good deal. Can't believe LV wanted so much; a good £50 up from last year and I haven't claimed for donkeys years.

See you later.

Afternoon all.

Pamela - Congratulations on the job and hope you enjoyed your wander around without spending too much.

Shelley hope you enjoyed your walkabout too. Saw a documentary with Maureen Lipman in the week and she had a Basenji did you know that?

Yola looks like you have a construction force in the making there. Glad the toilet issue is resolved and the kitchen is moving forward you can't make a omlette without breaking eggs -

P.P Well I too have been trawling for cheaper car insurance and sem to have found one almost 1/2 what my quote from AA was - seems being a new customer is the way to go - no one wants to retain customers.

Yes a couple of times and in one where she had to make up a memory she said "her dog winning crufts" and when asked how unlikely she said she would not win as she had a broke tooth.
