Sunny Saturday but now stormy.
Hi Pamela, Shelley and anyone else who may pop in.
Sorry I haven't posted for a couple of days but i have been thinking of you both and wondering how you were getting on with your lock downs. I'm sorry that you still have strict restrictions in place but at least if it keeps you all safe, then it's worth it in the long run.All of NZ is at level 1 now, apart from Auckland still being at Level 2 because there are active cases up there. At the moment, there are no cases of Covid here in the South Island but that may change with the school holidays and Aucklanders being allowed to travel. It will probably only be a matter of time before we will be back in strict lock down again. Gosh, I'm a real pessimist, aren't I ?
My leg problem is coming from a disc in my lower back which is slipping and pressing on the nerves in my leg. It's probably the result of many years of judo while at uni which has caused quite a bit of wear and tear on my back, according to my doctor.Funny though, my back isn't sore at all. My leg is now a lot better but I must not do tai chi, just gentle walking for a short period each day. I've been given more strong pain meds and have been referred to a specialist at the hospital. I'm hoping it will go away on its own if I'm just gentle and take it easy, but I'll see what the specialist has to say.
My cousin came round today, as she usually does on Saturdays and she brought her home made chinese for lunch, which was yummy. She's a much better cook than I am. She also brought a DVD from her place which I had the "pleasure" of watching. Honestly, it was so boring but I had to sit there for nearly 2 hours with her, pretending I liked it. !!!!! It was a comedy and i really don't like comedies.I much prefer thrillers or murder mysteries. What an utter waste of an afternoon. However each to his own.
Going to watch a couple more re-runs of The Avengers tonight. It's been a beautiful day but is now blowing a gale outside and it's meant to be stormy overnight, so a good night to curl up on the couch with some popcorn.
PAMELA,sorry you are in Level 4 lock down at the moment, but I'm glad you're still going to see your dad. I would too. He really needs you and your sister at this time.I do hope you enjoy your ride out today with your motor cycle friends and that you get a fine day for it.I'm glad that getting out and about is helping you divert your mind away from your sadness. In time, it will get easier and you'll start to remember all the good times with your mum, but for now,it must be a great feeling to be out on that bike, surrounded by good company. Good for you.
SHELLEY, I'm sorry you've been so busy at work, but it's great that you love your new role You seem to be taking to it like a duck to water, or should I say a cygnet to water. I'm pleased that your Christianity course is continuing to go well and that you are able to meet up with friends at the local church. It's always much nicer face to face ,rather than online.I'm sorry to say that I haven't completed any more of my course but perhaps i will tomorrow.I do hope Eric has settled down a bit now and has got in touch with Howard.
Well my friends, have a good weekend. Let's hope the sun shines for you both. I'm going to watch Emma Peel and Steed fight a few baddies now. I think our roof is about to blow off the house. The poor cats are terrified.Hope the power lines don't come down.
Love to all Catsey cats, dogs and their guardians.
