Friday Daily
Good morning Pamela, Shelley and anyone else who may look in.
Friday evening here, after a sunny day. Haven't been doing much as trying to keep off my leg as much as possible. It's feeling a lot better now but I'm going to see the specialist next week at the hospital. Until then, I won't do anything to aggravate the situation.
My cousin is coming round for lunch tomorrow as she normally does and then i have an appointment with a groomer for poor Dickens at 2.30pm.This woman is a dog groomer but she will do cats if they are not too feisty.I tried to cut some matts off his sides today but they are just too close to his skin and I'm frightened of cutting him.I'm sad to say that his sides are going to have to be shaved. It's my fault and i feel bad about it. I was so tied up with Willow that I neglected the cats grooming and I'll never do it again.I only hope that Dickens will cooperate but if not, then he'll have to go to the vet and be sedated while they do the job.As he has a heart murmur, i want to avoid sedation if I can. I'm so worried about the poor boy but these big matts must be uncomfortable for him when he's lying down and they need to come off.
PAMELA,hey, it's perfectly normal to feel the way you do.Each day it's hard and you will have your moments when things just feel too much. You just go with the flow and hang in there. It's early days yet and of course you are still in shock. That's only natural. Gradually things will begin to get a little better, bit by bit. It's nearly the weekend so I hope you can use that time to do something that helps you relax and wind down. You'll run again when the time is right. I hope your book arrives soon - it sounds like a good read.Funny, I had a cat called Nala years ago- a wee grey fluffy girl- who suffered from asthma. i hope you can find a nice patch of sunshine this weekend and curl up in your lovely garden and read.
SHELLEY, sounds as if you are enjoying your work and are really back into the swing of things. Yes, I can see that it must be great to feel valued. Thank goodness your wart has been removed but i bet that must have hurt -ouch !!! Don't know if you have seen on TV the mini series "The Secret She Keeps". The third part is on TV here tonight and it's really good. I think you probably have a similar taste in books and films as i do, so if you haven't seen this series, then I think you'd love it. Scary but not terrifying exactly, at least not yet.
Well everyone, enjoy your Friday and don't work too hard. I'll let you know how my poor Dickens gets on.
Love to all Catsey cats, dogs and their guardians.
