Stormy Saturday,

Good morning Pamela, Shelley and Yola,
Saturday evening here after the most spectacular electrical storm I've seen for a long time. It hit earlier this evening when I had the cats outside and they all took off inside and hid. It's calmed down now but still raining.
I 've been feeling so much better today . My cousin came round and we went to the local mall. So many people buying xmas decorations and xmas cards.Had a rather yummy snow freeze covered with raspberry sherbet and got a bit of cat food and headed back home . I even managed to do some of my Bible course this afternoon while Janna went out with Brenna and the house was quiet. It's the first time I've felt like doing it since I lost Willow. The young Cane Corso that I was thinking of maybe getting ,is now in a training programme with the Mastiff Club trainer. She's still VERY aggressive towards men and any dogs she comes in contact with, but so far, she hasn't reacted to a cat. Mind you , the cat was contained and the dog was muzzled and on a chain. If her behaviour improves at all over the next few weeks, I will go and have a look at her and see if we can establish a bond with each other. It all hinges on whether she is trainable to live with cats and if so, whether she will bond with me and i am able to control her. The aggression doesn't bother me providing she accepts me as her leader and will obey me. I've only ever had mastiff breeds and just can't see myself with something like a Golden Retriever or a lab, It's just not me.

Pamela, I hope your tree hunting goes well today and you are able to get everything set up this weekend.I bet it's going to look beautiful when it's all done.Is it still snowing ?There's something so magical about softly falling snow, but i know it's a pain when you have to walk in it.I do hope Barney is behaving himself now when he meets other dogs.Perhaps he's trying to protect you and Mia and I know some dogs are very protective when they're on a leash.

Shelley, hope you are enjoying working away from your home now. It will be a big change for you and i bet the dogs will miss you being at home.Still, I guess it will be easier for you and it will be nice to have others around you.

Yola, hope all is well with you and your kitties.

Well everyone, have a good weekend and try to do something that you love doing.Hope the sun shines for you all.

Re: Stormy Saturday,

Hi Dinky so glad to hear you are feeling better and even managed to go shopping The electrical storm sounds amazing. I have only really seen them when i have been on holiday abroad. Glad you are still enjoying your bible course.

I do hope the mastiff girl is ok around cats, i think you would an amazing home for her.

Barney will never change in terms of other dogs, he has been like that since we got him when he was 6 but i can manage him much better if i can catch the reaction early. Its definitely not a protection issue with him.

My christmas tree looks nice. I got a bauble made in memory of my mum, i also got one made for my sister and another made for the kids to remember their nana.

Had a few wobbles this weekend but have managed to compose myself. Especially when i put mums bauble on the tree.

Take care everyone

Pamela
