Super Sunday

Good morning everyone.

Sunday early evening here after a really mild but not hot day, and I believe tomorrow is also going to be the same.I went out for a short walk earlier but my leg started aching so gave up on going any further.Still doing the physio's exercises and I've got to go back to her on Friday and to the hospital again on 22nd.

Janna has just come home loaded up with bags - she's been out all day xmas shopping with Brenna. She's being very secretive so I guess there must be something for me in one of those bags.I've put in my request to Brenna - a Sunbeam Capri glass kettle. My old one finally gave up the ghost last week and we are using my spare wee cheap one which isn't really big enough. Hopefully she'll get me the right one.

I think I've finally got everyone's presents sorted, except my wee grandchildren's.Had a terrible time trying to decide what to get my niece but finally got her a pack of Reebok socks and an eye plant. I got an eye plant for Janna as well and managed to get two of the most quirky looking ones, as they both like quirky things.

Pamela, Shelley and Yola, I do hope you are having a nice relaxing weekend and that the weather isn't too bad for you.I think I'll try and go out for another short walk again now as i really want to start exercising again. All this non- activity is making me lazy. I also might go back to my old job next year. I stopped it nearly 2 years ago because of Willow's seizures - she had to have someone with her and I was glad to do it. They have kept in contact and the job is there if i want it. I'll just have to be updated on the new programmes being used.It would be nice to be mixing with people again, as sitting at home, I tend to think too much about Willow and all the things I did wrong and I end up crying. If I do end up getting the cane corso, then Janna will be at home part of the time with her anyway, and she has never had any human attention so she is used to being left on her own.(the dog, not Janna). I'll just see how things pan out She is mine if I want her, but she has to be OK with my cats and I must be able to control her .At the moment ,she's not OK with anyone, poor sad girl. All going well, I think I will go out and see her next weekend and sit outside her run and just talk to her. Oh, why do I always go for these huge man-eating dogs ?

Anyway, have a safe and warm Sunday everyone.

Re: Super Sunday

Hi Dinky,

apologies i meant to reply yesterday but got caught up with something last night. Sounds like you had a nice time at the mall shopping and your lunch sounds lovely!!

I do wonder what Janna has got you! Fingers crossed Brenna gets you the right kettle!

Thats a great idea about going back to work, its great that they have kept in touch and gave you the option to go back. Try to keep your head and heart separate when you go see the corso girl as it is so easy to fall in love with them!! (i know that you will do the right thing for you though)

I'm not missing the social side of work at the moment, i was never a big mixer in the office. I spoke to everyone but never got close to many folk. I really dont want to go back to the office next spring.

My plans today are going to take the dogs out then take christmas cards to my dad and sister then home and relax. We went and did a little bit of shopping yesterday which was nice as the shops have reopened as we are now tier 3.

Shelley, Yola, i hope all is well with you, are you all set for christmas? I still have some things to get but i am spoiling my dad a little but more this year as he needs a bit of spoiling given everything that has happened.

Have a great day everyone

Re: Super Sunday

Hello everyone, sorry I've not been around.
Everything OK just been busy with work and zooms.
I zoomed everyday last week.
I am now trained up to level 4 makaton, hope eventually to become a tutor.
Work is fantastic and I feel so glad to be healthy, not like last year when I was terrified.
Been busy at church too and working towards confirmation in March.
Lots of buying and selling of dolls and Christmas preparation.
I break up on Friday like you, Yola.
I'm glad things are improving and you are getting more movement.
Dinky, Christmas eve pizza sounds divine.
What is an eye plant? I'm intrigued.
Pamela, hope your new work role becomes easier.
I know this Christmas will be very hard for all your family, next week it's 3 years since my mum died, fortunately I'm doing a presentation at work so will be busy, must remember to give my dad a call.
Take care everyone.
