Sunny Sunday.

Goodmorning everyone,
Again I'm sorry I haven't been around to post lately, but i've been looking after Janna who still isn't very well. She got badly dehydrated and ended up on a drip for a while. She's still not eating much but is drinking and hopefully this terrible flu that she's caught will leave her soon..She's lost so much weight and she was only tiny to start with. She managed to have a little scrambled egg tonight for tea, but feels really sick now and so may bring it up again.

It's been a nice day here today but last night, we had a fierce electrical storm over Christchurch. It was spectacular, I must say, but my poor Funny how they all band together and forget to fight with each other, when they feel threatened by an external threat.

I haven't really done anything exciting over the last few days. My BP is still high and the cardiologist has again changed my medication. I'm going back to see him on 26 May but have to ring him each week to see if there is any improvement.

My cousin hasn't been round because of Janna but I'm waiting on her to ring me tonight as she has gone to the casino tonight for a meal (and a gamble). She'll let me know if she wins anything.

Oh yes, one thing i did manage to do today is clean the space under the microwave. Gosh, it was filthy and I felt really bad for leaving it so long. I've made a vow to move the microwave and clean under it every 2 weeks from now on.The microwave itself is cleaned regularly and i guess it's just coz it's such a big heavy one, that it's easy to "forget" to clean under it. I really need to get a smaller one ,methinks.

Tomorrow is a public holiday in NZ, to commemorate Anzac Day. The shops will be open ,however, and I'm going to have to go down to the mall to get food. I might treat myself to a Thai meal for my tea.

PAMELA, I bet you're excited having the week off now. I do hope you have some good weather and are able to get out and about. I'm glad, too, that your job is safe - that will be a relief for you.. Good for you for making the 60 mile motor cycle trip home on your own. Now you'll be able to do it all the time. I'm glad you like snow leopards, and you're not alone in liking elephants. My sister also loves them and like you, she has lots of elephant ornaments around her house.I've been thinking about wee Skye a lot and hoping that she is a wee bit better.Have you managed to take her to the vet yet ? Do let us know when you find out something.

SHELLEY, I'm so pleased that your second vaccine went better for you and you had no reaction this time. You'll really be looking forward to heading to the van in Scotland in a weeks time. I hope you also get lovely weather for your holiday. Are you going to take the pups with you ?

YOLA, sorry you've been so busy at work lately. You must get awfully tired at night, especially as you'll be taking your son to his sporting events as well.Hope your knees and heel are feeling much better now.

KAZZ, hope all is well with you and Gert.

Well everyone, will now go and have a cup of herbal tea. and see what's on TV. Snoddy has gone to bed, but I won't be joining him for a few hours yet.

Have super Sunday everyone and may the sun shine for you all.

Re: Sunny Sunday.

Hi Dinky and anyone to follow,

Dinky sorry to hear that Janna is still poorly, it must be such a worry for you. I hope the scrambled egg managed to stay down. I also hope that you get to the bottom of what is causing the issues with your BP. It must be horrible not knowing why it is so high.

Fingers crossed your cousin wins at the casino

It must have been amazing to see the electrical storm!! I love watching the lightening her but Mia is terrified.

I havent had Skye back to the vet yet, she seems a lot happier so i am thinking she was maybe just having an off couple of days. I am keeping an eye on her though. We did some work in the garden today as it has been beautiful. We got the weeding done, tidied the garden up, i planted some more seeds and bulbs and then we had a BBQ and Stevens friend turned up just after we had finished the food. Its been a good day. Just sitting relaxing now, STeven will be taking over the TV soon as he is going to play the playstation online so he can play a game with his friend, i dont mind, i like sitting watching the game on TV!!

Have a lovely evening everyone

Dinky happy Anzac day
