Saturday morning daily

Good morning ladies. Long time, no see !!!.. Sorry I haven't been around lately ,as I've been staying out at Brenna's and just kinda blobbing out, which I seem to be getting really good at. I'm back home now. Finally got my plaster off on Friday and I can use all my fingers again, thank goodness. I just felt so useless with only one hand.

I'm still in a lot of pain when I walk, and I'm not walking as much as I should - it's just that I've really lost confidence after my fall down the stairs, and so I don't go out at all, unless I really have to and then I'm really nervous in case that leg gives way again. I do walk around the house a bit though. I'm going to have to start waking down the road a bit every day as it's good to get out in the fresh air, and I'd have Janna with me, but I just can't seem to motivate myself to do so. Anyway, enough about me.

It's a warm, sunny day here, a good day for the washing, so might go and do that. Janna has gone down to the supermarket, but she'll hang it out for me when she gets home. I've got my sister coming round for tea tomorrow night, so will have to make her something decent.

Cats are all OK apart from Miracle whom I had to take to the vet a week ago. Miracle has a flea allergy dermatitis which flares up sometimes and I should have taken her earlier as Janna had told me that she was getting itchy. She scratches herself until she makes herself bleed and it only takes one flea to set it going. Now she's covered in bald patches and looks dreadful, but after a steroid injection, an antibiotic injection, soothing cream and drops in her food, she's certainly a lot happier and not scratching anymore. I've just de-flead her this morning and I have to do that every 3-4 weeks for a while. The vet couldn't find any evidence of fleas on her, so I think it must be one rogue flea that lives in our carpet. I'll go and put some Advantage on the other cats this afternoon when Janna comes home, just to be on the safe side. I'll feel better when I can go back to using the homeopathic drops on them again as I think they're safer, but i really have to make sure that Miracle's dermatitis doesn't flare up again.

That's about all my news. Nothing really exciting happens around here, except the odd quake or two., and they're not big ones, thank goodness. Oh yes, I've still got my two magpies coming every day, plus the big seagull (Salty) and all the wee wild birds. The ducks no longer come and Janna misses them Hopefully they haven't flown south because a lot of ducks have died down there due to toxic algae in the water. I would hate something bad to happen to Jack and Vera.

PAMELA, how's the house hunting going, my friend? I've been thinking a lot about you lately and hoping that you are having lots of fun just looking at the various houses available. It's always an exciting time. I've never actually bought a house myself, although my husband and I designed our house up on the hill and had it built and then later I moved into my parents house. Anyway, you enjoy this time and I know you will eventually find the perfect home for all of you.
I bet you had a good time in Birmingham and I hope you enjoyed meeting up with your friend once again. It's always good to get away and have a change of scenery too, although I know you would have missed the girls and wee Skye...............and of course Steven!!!
Thank you so much for your lovely email and the beautiful pictures of all your girls. I will answer, you properly tomorrow, Pamela because I find it hard to sit for very long on this computer chair and I think my time is just about up. I do hope your dad is well and happy and keeping out of mischief and your sister and her family are all OK. I'm glad your parcel is finally on its way - you might actually get to use your Harry calendar before December. I checked and re-checked that address dozens of time. I have just lost all confidence in my ability to do anything, it seems, and Janna and Brenna both checked it too, then Janna sent it finally. I tried to send Shelley her calendar as well, but because I don't have her surname, the post shop wouldn't accept it off Janna and I know she would have just backed down and not argued like I would have. I'll flick her an email and get her surname, or else I'll just use mine . Surely if the address is correct, that should be sufficient, shouldn't it?

SHELLEY,how are you ,my friend? I do so hope you and Howard and your boys are all well and that work is not too stressful. How are the pups doing? I suppose they're feeling the cold over winter, but it'll soon be summer and they'll be able to go for nice long walks in the sun on the beach. I suppose you're busy with your dolls and your Bible study course as well. I hope you're still finding it stimulating. I haven't done any for about a month now, so if I ever want to get off Exodus, I think I'd better get a move on.'' If you have read my post, you'll have seen that I need your surname to post that calendar away, so I'll email you , but look, if I don't hear from you, I'll just use my surname instead, so don't think I'm going totally nuts !!! I do hope your dad is doing well and enjoying having Jet by his side.

Well ladies, I'm off to walk round the house a bit before my legs get any worse.I hope you both have a great Saturday and that the weather is kind to you both.

Take care ,Pamela and Shelley and enjoy your weekend.
