Overcast Tuesday.
Good morning ladies,
Tuesday morning here and it's not raining but it's very overcast. Janna has gone to Animates to get pet food and restock the big cat litter pail. honestly, I don't know what sort of cat litter you use for Skye, Pamela, but I have a terrible time with finding one my cats will use and it's so expensive. I've got into a deal with Animates now which seems to be working out OK - they sell a 15L pail of soft cat litter initially for $79.00, and you just take the pail back and refill it for $36.00 as often as you like.. The full pail lasts my cats a fortnight, so that seems the most cost effective way of doing it.
I've been walking around the house a lot without a crutch over the weekend and I'm starting to get more confident. I'm going to make myself go outside this week ,just for short walks but I will take a crutch with me. I hope that gradually I'll be able to walk down to the mall again, even if it does take me a while.
My sister came for tea on Sunday night. I was going to cook her something but I find it hard to stand for too long, so we just got a take out roast meal from the supermarket for each of us. Janna managed to buy a yummy carrot loaf with cream cheese icing and we had that for dessert with a scoop of sorbet. Simple but nice. As Mary comes down either Saturday or Sunday night for tea I've decided to just get a take out meal on the night she comes. I'll use the meal service that Brenna used to provide me with meals - they're really nice meals and they do desserts as well. and they're not too expensive.
Poor Freddie is getting really matted now and it's impossible to cut them off. My cat groomer, Sophie, has been getting over kidney stones so hasn't been able to come out and shave them. I don't know how much longer I can leave Freddie like this though - he must be getting awfully uncomfortable., although he still manages to jump on top of poor Betsey May.
PAMELA,, I'm so pleased that your parcel finally arrived .I honestly didn't think it would and I must have checked that address dozens of times. I keep second guessing every single thing I do at the moment, and it's horrible. And the slippers fit? If not, we can swap them for a larger/smaller size. They may not look much, but believe me, they will become your best friend on a cold night. I have been known to wear mine to bed on a freezing night !!! I hope you enjoyed seeing Harry the Burwood Hospital cat. He certainly left his mark on me !!! I bet your Chinese was nice on Sunday night - did you make it or was it a take out? AND you've had a cold as well. That's horrible when you're so busy at work. Stay nice and warm, my friend and hope you are over the worst of it now.
SHELLEY,how are you ,Howard and the pups getting on? I hope you are getting through the winter. OK . Now your Harry calendar is on its way to you today. Hopefully it won't take long to reach you and seeing Harry adds a smile to your day . I certainly won't forget my encounters with him at the hospital.
Well ladies, I'm off to do a few dishes until Janna comes home. Don't work too hard and hope the weather is a bit warmer for you both today.
Take care Pamela and Shelley.
