Name for a doggy lodger

I am probably going to be looking after a dog from Monday for about 3 months. (maybe longer) She is called "Wendy" now I need to change it slightly because my old boss (who noone got on that well with & she has since left - 'nuff said) is called Wendy. I really, really don't want to be calling this dog Wendy. & if that's not a good enough reason then I think it's a silly name for a GSD anyway.
Because the dog is from work & will be coming to work daily with me - I just don't want to call her Wendy. However I just want to change it slightly Kazz - help!
I can only think of Windy any ideas what I can call her?

Re: Name for a doggy lodger

Hmm I'd say either keep the dy on the end and call her something like

Lindy - Bindy - Mindy - Mandy - Maddy

Or keep something that sounds similar Wendy - Winnie?

I will have a think about it. Karen

Re: Name for a doggy lodger

thanks Kazz & Mags - Wanda sounds good. I like Mindy too. She has just finished her 12 months puppy walking & is possibly going to be a brood. I wouldn't normally change a name & if anyone asks me if they can change their broods name when they get her at 12 months old -I always say no & feel quite strongly about it, mainly because they will phone up & leave messages about "flossy" when her real name is "bingo" & it just confuses everyone & everything (including the dog) however - "Wendy" is well let's just say, not a name I want to be calling a dog.
Wanda is good & a name that we quite often use within the Association. Any other thoughts Kazz - you are the naming Queen

Wanda, and I think its close enough that people will be silently convinced they've been calliong her the "wrong" name ie Wendy all along when her real name was Wanda and that thye misheard it the first time

I like Wanda - well done Mags - my title of naming Queen is wobbling a little now

I like Wanda although I think the name Candy is sneaking up on me now.
